A Brief Surgery Update

Note: Nathan wrote this particular update for Leah’s newsletter, in conversation with Leah.

The surgery yesterday was successful and the tumor was removed. Leah is recovering in the hospital. We hope she can go home tomorrow sometime, though it might be Thursday.

After post-op conversations with the surgeon, we anticipate that chemotherapy will be needed. We will know more about that next week, after the final pathology report comes back and we visit with the oncologist. For now, we are concentrating on Leah recovering from yesterday’s procedure.

We are so very grateful to friends who have sent gift cards or signed up to provide meals for our family in the coming days. What a blessing. Thanks for your ongoing prayers for Leah’s surgery recovery, her treatment plans moving forward, and her full healing. Thanks also for your prayers for our whole family as we walk through this cancer journey together.
