Oh, we're halfway there...
Chemo #6 is over!
Dear friends,
We are in the thick of it. It is the last stretch of ‘real classes’ for North Greenville, the second weekend of NGU theatre’s production of Newsies (that our two girls are in), Fuller’s birthday is April 25, and Nathan’s is May 1, and NGU graduation is May 8… Life. Is. BUSY.
(My comfort dog loves it when I want to nap in the afternoon. Also, I love my summery new sheets. They make me happy.)
But always, God is good.
Chemo treatment #6 was completed on Monday. My WBC and neutrophil counts were high enough for me to proceed, and I received a booster shot to help keep those numbers elevated. Fatigue has been a struggle this week but making time to rest helps with that.
There is so much more I could say, but I’ve got a musical to attend and some children to cheer on! Thank you for your love and support.
Praises (keeping it simple):
I was able to receive another chemo treatment, and now have six more to go (Lord willing!).
Prayer requests:
Strength and stamina to finish the school year (NGU and homeschool) well for everyone in the Finn family.

We continue to pray for all the Finns (and Finnlings!). When your body needs rest, may your rest be rich and calming. When your body says you can go, may you go with joy and gratitude. When your mind feels like wandering, may God's Word bring you back in line and put you on the worthy and narrow. Press on, fellow pilgrim.
Oh, Leah! I can't believe you are halfway to the finish line! Staying so busy must be such a help in many ways. I know it can still be a challenge, but you are moving it along, for sure! Chris and I just had lunch with a dear friend this week. She is 89 years old and a 34 + year survivor of breast cancer! She gives me such hope for the future. She toughed out horrible Chemo treatments over 30 years ago and she will be the first to tell you it was not easy. So I know your journey, while different, is also a difficult one. You and your entire family are to be admired for courage, strength, loyalty, fortitude, and so many other wonderful traits. Love you all so much! :) Best of luck getting to the end. Can't wait to hear all the positive results! My journey is a much slower one, but equally challenging. I still have so many months to go, but I finally realized that I needed to quit thinking about it and just let the Oncologists do the watching and worrying for me. :)
